My Carnivore Journey

The purpose of this company is quite simple; I made a massive change in my life a little over a year and a half ago, and I wanted to share it with others.  At the start of this journey, I was pre-diabetic, with noticeable signs of neuropathy in my feet.  I also suffered from GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease), weighed in at 341 pounds on a 6’5” frame, snored and suffered from chronic pain from many injuries over the decades.

 I had a health scare on December 11th 2021, where I thought I was having a heart attack.  I immediately stopped drinking and eating sugar from that point, as I thought it might be part of the problem.  I next cut out grains, as they come with a side effect of hampering your absorption of minerals and nutrient, and are high in carbs, so when I moved onto a Keto diet of low carbs and high fat, it made sense.  That lasted about 4 months, with meals I did not like, some I found revolting.  And I have mad cooking skills, so it was pretty bad.  I started conducting massive amounts of research because I ended up with various deficiencies that didn’t make sense, to my existing knowledge of nutrition.  I was eating a lot of foods that were of little to no benefit to me.  In fact, they were hampering my progress and causing me unnecessary discomfort.  I soon started to consume more and more animal products in favor of vegetables.  I conducted more research, and found a plethora of doctors promoting the Carnivore Diet, with most of their field of research residing in endocrinology and cardiovascular health, all practicing the diet. 

I have become a strict Carnivore and only eat animal products, with the exception of spices; I am not insane.  For some people, this is considered an elimination diet, and that is between you and your doctor, as I am just going on my own experiences.  Today, I am 220 pounds, after plateauing at 210 and rebounding after going to the gym.  I no longer snore and GERD is a thing of the past, and I am no longer forced to take pharmaceutical preventative medication nightly.  All signs of diabetes are gone, and at my age, I didn’t expect this to ever manifest.  My chronic pain has also reduced as many sources of inflammation are no longer present, though that mitigation will take more time and a focus on exercise. 

This company will be promoting the Carnivore Diet, the ecological benefits of raising livestock, and going against the status quo, those who are pushing the unhealthy carb induced diet, that has led to numerous illnesses, many of which people are seeing through their own experiences; reversed.  Anything from IBS, to many autoimmune diseases are going into remission, or seeing less frequent episodes.  Again these are individual receipts from hundreds of thousands of claimants who have decided it was for their benefit to try returning to our ancestors’ roots of eating a primarily animal based diet, over the current heavily processed one of today. 

 

With this in mind, we have sourced quality meat from local producers.  All of our products come from provincially inspected and certified facilities, to ensure quality control and peace of mind that safety is paramount.  All of the animals are hormone and antibiotic free, plus we have inspected their facilities to ensure they are true to their claims of grass fed, and grain finished.  I always want to know the source of my food, how animals are being treated, their food supply and environment all of which play an important role in the end product.
